The purpose of the HMD (Head-Mounted Display) Light-Shield is to obscure the patient’s view during the operation of the test. To minimize cross-contamination, it is recommended to clean the wearable device and Light-Shield before each use.
To install, start by unpacking your HMD, light shield, and lens holder and follow the steps below.
- Slide the light shield over the front of the HMD and carefully align the nosepiece, sides, and forehead. Ensure the sensors on the front of the HMD are not occluded.
The purpose of the lens holder is to position off-the-shelf trial lenses to correct the patient’s distance vision as necessary for the tests. The Lens Holder replaces the forehead pad in the HMD device. Please refer to this article for a more in-depth guide on how to setup and use the lens holder.
